I'm fundraising through the dedication of my upcoming run in the Berlin Marathon
Support the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) to deliver its five programs across Australia focused on running and physical literacy built on the premise that:
- Every session builds resilience.
- Every kilometre or activity builds confidence.
- Every participant learns leadership skills.
- Every step forward is about developing leaders and role models.
Too many First Nations peoples are still facing serious health challenges and reduced life expectancy — and we know change is possible. At the Indigenous Marathon Foundation, they use the power of running as a vehicle to develop and nurture First Nations leaders who model resilience, healthy living, discipline, and create ripple effects of long-term change.

Sunday 20th Sep My first encounter with IMF was in 2017 on my way to run my first World Major in New York. It was so exciting and inspirational to meet Deek and some of his runners on the flight. And then to share a warm-up run and join together at the Start. Eight years later it feels appropriate to dedicate my big 6-Star run in Berlin in support of the IMF. At 80yrs, now much slower, it will be a real challenge to make the cut-off. Running for such a positive, heartfelt cause will help.
