the IMF Virtual Run

Why I Chose to Get Involved with the IMF

I first heard about the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) a number of years ago when I stumbled across the documentary, Running to America.  I was inspired by its mission and the people. It wasn't just about running a marathon. It was about creating opportunities, building confidence, developing leaders, and empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to achieve things they probably never considered before.

IMF isn't just about running. Running is the vehicle, but the destination is confidence, leadership, community connection, and inspiration. Every participant who crosses a finish line demonstrates what is possible when people are given encouragement, support, and the opportunity to succeed.

I look forward to getting involved and being a part of the EQL team, walking for a good cause for the month of September.
